Elena was already a professional model when she approached me, but like everyone else in the biz you never stop updating your portfolio… portfolio sessions are not only for the first time, but all the way through a model’s career.
It’s always a pleasure to work with professional models that know how to move and use their bodies, and Elena was certainly no exception. She didn’t lose a single second before starting to move and use her body to create different shapes and forms. If there’s any good tip to give about modeling that’s one of them, when you’re posing: think about the form/shape your body is creating for your viewer and play with that. Push the envelop.
In the second part of our session, we cooled down a bit and moved in with the camera for some nice close-up shots. Elena, like many Russian models, has a backbone and is not afraid to show it… so we played with her “tiger” side and hopefully made it come out in photos.
So I’m putting more photos than usual, but it should really allow you to see the extent of the posing work she was doing for us in studio. Thanks Elena!!

A while back a client came to see us and asked to have see more sports and life style photos from our portfolio… it’s not exactly what we usually do, but we said “ok! no problem, let’s set-up a test!”
It’s very common in the industry to do test shoots. It’s simply impossible to have every single kind of photography or situation in one portfolio.

The studio session we had with Siri is a perfect example of what our studio strives to do. Siri, recently divorced and with kids wanted to have her life back and feel beautiful and sexy… and that’s just what we did for her!
We got Kate to the make-up and Matsume for the hair-styling and had an entire day in studio covering a very wide range of styles, from portraits and head-shots, to artsy fashion and glamour.

I’ve known Anna for years and years here in Shanghai. She’s practically one of the first people I met and right away clicked with. Like many other Russian girls she came to China to be a model, and now still works in the industry but no longer as a model.
